The Figures

The LE.VIN.SUD has a total storage capacity of 320,000 quintals and its production takes place in two factories, located in Cerignola, in the Italian province of Foggia, where the following local varieties of grapes are processed: Trebbiano and Chardonnay white grapes and Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Lambrusco, Negroamaro and Primitivo red grapes.

HISTORY

LE.VIN.SUD was founded in 1995 and since then has always operated in the marketing and production of wine, grape must and concentrated grape must.

The company stems from the passion for viticulture and wine-making nurtured by the Campagna Family, which has a history in the branch whose origins trace back to

1922.

Our wine production and sales activities have been non-stop since 1922, with passion, commitment and professionalism that we believe to be the three characteristics/values shared by the four generations that have taken the helm over the years.

LE.VIN.SUD srl. was founded in 1995 and marked the transition from cellar to wine industry, giving way to an unstoppable growth of the company.

LE.VIN.SUD is the melting pot of the values handed down throughout the years.

PRODUCTION

The grapes are harvested from late August to mid-end of October, and health condition, sugar content and acidity are checked upon arrival to the cellar. The type of product to be obtained is then decided on the outcome of these tests.  Sangiovese, Trebbiano, Montepulciano and Lambrusco are the four varsities that we most process.

Once juiced, the juices may be used for alcoholic fermentation for the production of wine or may instead be used to obtain filtered and frozen grape must or muté according to market demand.

As concerns wine, upon conclusion of alcoholic fermentation, the wine is filtered and a series of assessments are made on the final blend of the wine produced, monitoring the market demands. The wines can then be mixed and/or centrifuged and/or filtered and/or stabilised.

TECHNOLOGIES

The historic plant of LE.VIN.SUD, conceived and expanded over the years for wine production, covers an area of 10,000 square meters, and has a storage capacity of 150,000 hectolitres.

The second plant of LE.VIN.SUD was inaugurated in 2011, and is always located in Cerignola (Italy) in Via Togliatti. It has a total capacity of 170,000 hectolitres and is specialised in the production of concentrated white grape must from Trebbiano grapes and red grape must from Sangiovese, Montepulciano and Lambrusco grapes.

LABORATORY

The research laboratory is equipped with advanced equipment and is staffed with professionals and experts able to obtain the maximum yield from the grapes we harvested or selected for production.
